Media professionals advised to prioritize their mental health
A medical expert, Dr Ademola Abolarin has advised media professionals to prioritise their physical and mental health.
He gave the advice during a seminar on mental health organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and National Orientation Agency (NOA) Chapel in Ilorin, Kwara state.
According to Dr Abolarin, media professionals should check their health status at least once in a year and shun the habit of patronizing quacks but seek professional care.
He also warned them against self-medication and consulting the internet on health-related issues.
The Director of National Orientation Agency, Kwara State Directorate, Mr Olusegun Adeyemi urged the media professionals to inculcate the habit of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
