Bukola Woos Offa Community

The people of Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State have pledged to team up with Senator Bukola Saraki in his bid to carry on the good work of his late father, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki, the Waziri of Ilorin.

The pledge was made on Monday when sons and daughters of Offa trooped out to welcome the senator who was on a thank you visit to Offa and neighouring towns.

Speaking at his palace, the Olofa of Offa, Oba Muftau Gbadamosi Esuwoye expressed the readiness of his subjects to wholeheartedly join hands with Senator Saraki in order to keep alive the legacies of his late father.

Oba Gbadamosi stated further that the entire people of Offa community are always ready to collaborate with the PDP government in the state even as he urged the government to reciprocate by spreading the dividend of democracy to his people.

The monarch assured the present administration in the state of his subjects' commitment and unflinching support to the progress and advancement of Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed led administration in the state.

In his comment, the chairman of Offa Local Government Area, Prince Saheed Popoola extolled the virtues of late Waziri of Ilorin, describing him as generous, considerate, God-fearing and a great philanthropist whom he said he benefited a lot from his kind gesture.

Also speaking, the Chief Imam of Offa, Sheikh Muhideen Salman also called on the people of Offa to rally round Senator Bukola Saraki in order to keep the flag of his late father flying.

Similarly, the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Sikiru Atanda Woleola who also received the senator and his entourage in his palace, expressed the readiness of his people in continuing to identify with Saraki dynasty at all times.

In his comment at his palace, the Elerin of Erin-Ile, Oba AbdulGany Olusookun, who described late Saraki as someone who was loved by all during his lifetime also advised Senator Saraki to take a leaf from his father's virtues so as to maintain and sustain the good legacies of his late father.

In his speech at each visit, Senator Saraki said that his visit was basically to express his appreciation to the royal fathers and entire people of their various communities for their attention extended to his family during the demise of the Waziri of Ilorin, Dr. Olusola Saraki.

Senator Saraki pledged that the legacies and virtues left behind by his father would be built upon especially in the areas of assistance to the downtrodden masses.

He therefore called for the continued support of the people, adding that the administration of Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed would leave no stone unturned to meet the wishes and aspirations of the people in terms of spreading the dividends of democracy.
