NBBF Final 8: Kwara Falcons beat Customs, qualify for BAL tournament
It was jubilation galore on Saturday as Kwara Falcons surprised the bookmakers to emerge the winner of the Nigeria Basketball Federation final 8.
The Kwara-based club emerged as the winner of the competition beating Nigeria Customs 78-53 points.
To reach the final, Kwara Falcons defeated Benue Brave 83-59 while Nigeria Custom thrashed Rivers Hoopers 64-59 points.
Apart from winning the NBBF final 8 tournaments, Kwara Falcons has also qualified to represent in Basketball African League ( BAL).
Nigeria alongside Senegal, Angola, Tunisia Egypt and host Rwanda are the countries with the automatic spot for the 2023 BAL competition at the BK Arena in Kigali.
Elite 16 which will serve as the qualifiers for the countries will commence on November 15th -20 and 22nd -27th in Abidjan and Johannesburg.
