Kwara Gov. mourns Moonlights Editor, Issa Saliu

Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has commiserated with the family and media fraternity on the death of the publisher of Real News, an online platform and Editor of Moonlight Newspaper, Malam Issa Saliu.

AbdulRazaq's condolence message is contained in statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, on Wednesday in Ilorin.

The governor described Saliu's death as a painful loss to all.

“I send our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and the media community, especially the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, National League of Veteran Journalists and the Moonlight Newspaper.

“We take solace in the fact that he made his mark as a journalist who contributed his bits to the advancement of free press and democratic development.

“I pray to Almighty God to forgive his shortcomings, admit him Aljanat Firdaus and comfort all those he left behind, including his dear wife and children,” he said.
