The Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, North Central, Alhaji Haruna Idris has been honoured and inducted as a fellow of the Fourth-Estate Professional Society, a media professional body in Nigeria.

At the induction ceremony held in Ilorin, Kwara State, the President of the Society Dr Babatunde Salami, said Alhaji Idris, was honoured because of his contribution to the journalism profession.

He explained that the Fourth-Estate Professional Society is a professional body that engages in the practice of the media profession and the welfare of people involved in disseminating news and editorial content.

In a remark, the Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, North Central, Alhaji Haruna Idris commended the society for its efforts in maintaining standards and pledged to always support the society, as well as discharge his duty effectively as a member of society.

Also speaking at the brief ceremony, former General Manager, Harmony FM Idofian, Alhaji Olanrewaju Adegboyega said induction of Alhaji Haruna Idris into the society was highly deserved, in view of his contribution to the journalism profession, from his days as a reporter.

General Manager, Harmony FM, Idofian, Alhaji Andulwahab Akosile, was also inducted as a fellow member of the society.

Present at the induction ceremony were the General Manager, Diamond FM, Ilorin, Mr Micheal Abiodun Olanrewaju, General Manager University of Ilorin Fm, Alhaji Idris Aloma and former Editor-in-Chief, Pilot Newspaper, Mrs Christie Doyin. and management staff of Harmony Fm, Idofian.
