VSF donates medicals, boreholes to Kwara

Date: 2022-05-13

The Victims Support Fund (VSF) has donated medical equipment, food materials, and three boreholes across the three senatorial districts of Kwara State.

The group said the items are worth over N100 million.

Head of the fund's COVID-19 Task Force Toyosi Ogunsiji, at the presentation, said: “We are donating three boreholes to the three senatorial districts – one in Government Secondary School, Adeta, Ilorin; one in Zuba Lade Secondary School, Patigi and the last in Iketa Grammar, Osi, Ekiti Local Government Area.

“The boreholes are not for the schools alone, but for the entire communities so the government has the freedom to reticulate it so that when schools are on holiday, the communities can benefit from the water.

“Our boreholes are 4,000 liters solar-powered so that even without a generator, as long as there is sun, water will flow. All that we have brought to Kwara are worth more than N100 million.”

The governor's wife, Olufolake AbdulRazaq, said the materials would complement the government's efforts. She hailed the Chairman of VSF, Gen. Theophilius Danjuma (rtd), for the gesture.
