Less privileged receive food Items in Kwara

Over one thousand less privileged in Kwara state have benefited from food items distributed by a humanitarian organisation- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, from Saudi Arabia.

The beneficiaries of the programme included both Muslim and Christian faithful.

Speaking during the distribution of the items to the beneficiaries in Ilorin, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq thanked both the donor and implementation organizations for their kind gesture to the people of Kwara State.

Represented by his Deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi, the governor expressed the readiness of his administration to partner with any organisation that has similar objectives aimed at supporting the poor.

In his remark the anchor of the programme Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi said the gesture was not a solely Ramadan package, adding that it was the donor's efforts at feeding the poor and the needy in the selected state's in Nigeria.
