IEDPU congratulates Sambo on appointment as SA Legal Matters
Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union(IEDPU), the umbrella socio-cultural organisation of the good people of Ilorin Emirate, has joined other well-wishers in congratulating the Secretary of Ilorin Emirate Stakeholders Forum and Convener of Kwara Development Trackers, Barrister Murtala Sambo, on his recent appointment as the Special Adviser on Legal Matters to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq.
Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman,fsi, the National President of the Union,in a statement signed on his behalf by the Union's National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Imam, welcomed the appointment as he described it as that of a round peg in a round hole.
While congratulating the renowned legal luminary on his being called to serve, the Union particularly commended Governor AbdulRasaq for appointing qualified, competent, committed and resourceful professionals into his cabinet, saying that the Union was "quite optimistic that these worthy professionals would work with the Governor to turn things around for the continuous and sustainable progress of the polity".
Alhaji Uthman specifically urged Barrister Sambo, who he described as a relentless patriot and a forthright professional, to bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new position for the much envisaged positive changes, particularly in the realm of administration of justice and peacebuilding, to become more visible, assuring and realistic.
The retired senior security operative added that " the Union recognised Barrister Sambo as a leading advocate of good governance, community development and one of those whose periodic interventions the organisation always found charitable, complementary and constructive, saying that the Union sees this appointment as a rare privilege for him to prove his mettle and offer his maximum best towards the progress of the " State of Harmony"
Alhaji Uthman prayed Allah to afford the new Special Adviser all he would need to discharge his responsibilities far beyond the expectations of the Government and people of Kwara State.
