Kwara Speaker sacks aide over role in disruption of APC meeting

Date: 2021-02-05

The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Yakubu Danladi has sacked his media aide, Ibrahim Sheriff-Gold for his role in the disruption of the APC stakeholders' meeting in Ilorin

Sheriff-Gold, a member of the Lukman Mustapha media crew who does not hide his disdain for the Abdulrasaq administration was sacked after a video footage emerged of his involvement in the violent disruption of the meeting.

According to a close source at the State House of Assembly, Sheriff-Gold was sacked because he was seen in the video as one of the people who disrupted the meeting. His principal is livid that he could take part in such a shameful act despite previous warnings to steer clear of the party issues.

Sheriff has repeatedly gone against the rules of staying out of the crisis. He has been caught many times organising anti-government activities even when he is the spokesman of the Speaker.
