Kwara Set to Officially Unveil Unuanel
Samson Unuanel will be officially unveiled on Saturday as the new technical adviser of Kwara United.
The colourful ceremony holds at the Kwara State Stadium Conference Hall, llorin.
Supersport.com learnt that the chief coach and assistant coaches will equally be unveiled on Saturday. It was gathered that their choices were internally done.
Last week the management of Afonja Warriors named the former Ocean Boys helmsman and Super Falcons' assistant coach as the man to head the team's title campaign in the upcoming 2012/2013 NPL season.
Supersport.com gathered that Unuanel has agreed terms with the management, actually resumed on Monday and have interacted with the players who have since resume training for the new season.
An official of the side, Olayioye Ajide who could not confirm the worth of the contract said the package is an enhanced one compared with what the last occupant earned.
"Every plans have been concluded for Saturday's colourful unveiling ceremony of our new technical adviser, Samson Unuanel the chief coach as well as the assistant coaches.
"I don't have the figure of the technical adviser's take home or total package of the contract, the management is still keeping it to their chest but everything concerning the contract will be made public at the unveiling ceremony.
"I must confirm that the new technical adviser has conferred with the management on his contract and is perfectly satisfied with the terms. The contract package is attractive, I must confess to you because the government wants the best for the team next season.
"And that explains the target he will be handed on Saturday. He'll be told to win a continental ticket as well as very hard to win League and Federation Cup titles. Trophies the team never won.
"After the unveiling, the new man will draw list of players to put on transfer market, the ones to retain and new ones to hire," he said to supersport.com.
Unuanel was picked ahead of former ABS and 3SC coach, Festus Allen and suspended Niger Tornadoes' manager, Justin Tenger.
