The Kwara State Government has again been commended for its giant strides on education development, most especially, the comprehensive renovation of schools, distribution of exercise books to public schools, payment of UTME of one thousand students, among others.

The Team Leader, Northern Schools Exchange Monitoring Inspection team, Mallam Lawal Idris made this known during a courtesy call to the Honourable Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, today.

According to him, the giant strides of the present administration in the education sector within nine months of governance can not be over emphasized. He said, out of 38 Exchange Schools across the 19 northern states, two is in Ilorin, which is Government Secondary School, Ilorin and Queen Elizabeth Secondary School, Ilorin.

In her response, the Hon. Commissioner for Education and Human Development, Hajia Fatimah Bisola Ahmed welcome the team to Kwara State. She assured them of total support for them to be able to do their job effectively and get results.

Hajia Ahmed reiterated the commitment of the present administration in creating enabling environment for teaching and learning in order to produce sound and quality education for the benefit of our future leaders. She assured that any observation or recommendations by the monitoring and inspection teams will be implemented immediately.
