Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq had a diplomatic meeting on investments and knowledge transfer with the Mexican Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Alejandro Garcia Moreno.

The meeting was centred on the need for collaboration between Mexican government and Kwara State to attract investments that would change the economic fortunes of the state.

Mr Alejandro who was happy to receive the Governor in his office took time to commend several giant strides taken by AbdulRazaq to empower the youths by encouraging new businesses, the social investment program and prioritizing the health and safety of his people.

AbdulRazaq said his government is committed to bridging the obvious gap in infrastructural deficit in the state by building infrastructure which he said would provide an enabling environment for intending investors. He also stated his administration's readiness to establish bilateral relations with the Mexican government to bring in experts that would help fast track a technologically driven economy.

The governor revealed that the partnership is targeted at exploring the huge agricultural potentials in the state. The agricultural sector, he said if well harnessed could be an impetus for economic growth and development of the state. He also said Kwara will look forward to exploring other opportunities from Mexico which is a major consumer of agricultural produce to make Kwara great again.
