The Peoples Democratic party (PDP), Kwara State Chapter, has charged the leadership of the party at all levels to ensure discipline and unity among the membership, just as the party declared the purported decamping of its members to other parties as a ruse.

Also, the party has directed all political office holders at all levels to as a matter of compliance with the party's guiding principle, reunite with their constituencies and get involved actively in party activities.

The State Chairman, Hon. Ishola Balogun Funlani, who gave the charge at the weekend while meeting with party stakeholders across the state, stressed the importance of party discipline and adherence to the guiding principle of the party at all times.

The party noted that leaders at various levels including wards, local government areas and senatorial districts, must not only run an open door policy and administration of inclusion but must foster unity and crisis free party activities.

"As a leader in your own right and the closest tier of party structure to the grassroots, you should at all times carry along party men and women in all party activities without discrimination against any member", the chairman advised.

On the reported decamping of PDP members, the party described the said claims as the usual propaganda tools often employed by the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in the State to seek relevance and give a semblance of being accepted in the state.

“The party wishes to reiterate that all those decampees claiming to be PDP members are not our party members, they are political jobbers and impersonators".
