A governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Waziri Yakubu Gobir has collected his nomination form to contest for the position of Governor of Kwara State during the 2019 elections.

He collected the nomination form today (Friday 7th September, 2018) in Abuja at the APC secretariat in company of some of his supporters and party stakeholders.

Later in an interview with journalists , the Ilorin born Wazirin Hausa said he was determined that if voted for, he would liberate the people of Kwara State from the unnecessary poverty and hardship we are presently experiencing. Gobir added that as an accomplished social entrepreneur he would reduce the high level of unemployment amongst the youth. Waziri Yakubu Gobir assured workers that payment of their salaries and matters concerning pensioners would be given top priority under his administration. Market women and men would be encouraged and empowered.

The APC aspirant announced that he would soon formally declare his intention to contest at a public rally in Ilorin and commended all his supporters, well wishers and elders of the party for their support so far. Gobir pledged not to disappoint the people of the state if voted for during the 2019 governorship election.
