Fedpoffa Students Outshine at SIFE Competition
Outstanding performance of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa is rubbing off on its students, no doubt, as the students of the polytechnic under Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) outshone their counterpart from universities and polytechnics at an Innovation and Technological Exposition Competition.
The competition was organized by SIFE Nigeria in partnership with the National Universities Commission (NUC) for universities and polytechnics in Nigeria.
The polytechnic SIFE came first in Technological innovation with the Password Enabled Door and Medical Diagnosis Software for Hospitals at the event which took place at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.
Receiving the Team on behalf of the management, the Registrar, Alh. AbdulHamid Raji, described the polytechnic students as competing favorably with other tertiary institutions in the country and beyond as far as technological innovation was concerned.
The Registrar also applauded the students for toeing the path of academic excellence laid by the management in its drive to push the institution to the next level.
Speaking on the two projects, the Team's Faculty Adviser, Mr. Olaosebikan Oyeleke, said that the projects were developed as a form of answers to challenges being faced in security and health sectors.
He called for improved partnership with the team so as to achieve many of its proposed projects.
