Offa /Ijagbo communities finally sheathe swords

The people of Offa and Ijagbo warring communities have finally resolved their differences, ROYAL NEWS reports.

The National President of Offa Descendant Union, ODU, Alhaji Najeem Yasin stated this on Sunday shortly after a peace meeting held in Ilorin, Kwara State.

ROYAL NEWS gathered that the meeting was attended by representatives from both communities. While addressing journalists, Alhaji Yasin disclosed that, "Offa and Ijagbo communities are brothers and we have no reasons of anykind to fight one another."

Yasin who is the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, further stressed that what actually happened was not between Offa and Ijagbo, "it was just a mere misundetstading between Balogun family from Offa and another compound in Ijagbo.

"However, every differences have been put to rest and we want to assure the protection of lives and property of Indigenes of the two communities. We are hereby direct all schools to open Immediately without any further delay."
