Mashood Mustapha calls for peaceful coexistence

The Special Adviser to the Senate President on Inter Parliament Affairs and Special Duties , Alhaji Mashood Mustapha has called on Nigerians irrespective of their ethnic belief and religious affiliation to toe the path of peaceful co existence and eschew acts that can cause disunity.

Alhaji Mustapha made the call in his Sallah message to Muslim faithful across the country.

The Special Adviser who is the former deputy chairman House of Representatives Committee on Upstream stressed the need to foster the oneness of the country and avoid divisional tendencies, urging the agitators of biafra to desist from their secession agitation and imbibe the spirit of unity.

Alhaji Mustapha noted that the country has come to stay as a nation and urged the political leaders, traditional rulers, clerics, opinion leaders and government at all levels to sue for peace and harmonious relationship among their followers.

He charged Muslims to use the period of Eid Kabir to emulate the messages embedded in the festival and making sacrifices and giving alms to the needy in the society.

Alhaji Mustapha also felicitated with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the entire people of Ilorin Emirate and kwara state on the celebration of Eid Kabir and appealed to them to let the day be a sober reflection by toeing the path of Almighty Allah.
