Former lawmaker calls for synergy between executive , legislative and judiciary to move the nation forward

A Former member of the House of Representatives , Engineer Abdulrauf Kola Shittu has called on the executive, legislative and judicial arms of government to work together and form a synergy to ensure that Nigeria moves forward.
Engineer Shittu made the call in Ilorin, the KWARA state capital while answering questions on a Radio KWARA personality interview programme, Playing Host.
> The former Lawmaker disclosed that there is no how the three arms of government can succeed without the support and cooperation of each other hence the need for the three arms of government to work in tandem.
Engineer Shittu who had served as commissioner for Works and Transport in the state lamented that there are some carpals in the presidency who are misguiding President Muhammadu BUHARI on the relationship between the legislative and the executive.
He therefore appealed to President BUHARI to listen to the advice of the lawmakers and seek for their support in terms of passage of bills and appointments that would be beneficial to the Nigerian populace.
Answering another question, Engineer Shittu said its on record in the history of the country that there is no Senate President that has performed creditably well like Senator Bukola Saraki who according to him, had used his strength , intelligence and wisdom to spearhead the National Assembly without rancor and passed laws that make life better for the people.
> He explained further that the incumbent Senate President, Doctor Saraki had hardly missed one day in the plenary since since he assumed the position of senate presidency and therefore called on Nigerians to give him and the National Assembly every needed support.
> According to him, over ninety percent of senators at the National Assembly are solidly behind the Senate President as a result of his determined efforts to move the nation to greater heights.
The lawmaker commended the ongoing reformation going on in the nation's judicial sector and appealed to judicial officers to meet up with the present challenges confronting the judiciary .
Engineer Shittu said it was not too early for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to release the 2019 election time table stressing that it would rather assist the various political parties to adequately plan ahead.
He, however , appealed to those interested or wishing to contest one position or the other to tarry a while and allow those presently in position of responsibility to concentrate and guide against unnecessary excitement and over heating the polity.
Speaking on the dualisation of Kulende , UITH , Oke Ose road , Engineer Shittu who is the consultant handling the project, disclosed that the project is very desirable more so that it leads to the UITH, the state Polytechnic , NNPC and the headquarters of Ilorin East local government secretariat at Oke Oyi adding would reduce the daily traffic being experienced by users plying the road and further boost the economy if the state .
He assured that the project which will cost the state government two point Three million Naira would be completed at the scheduled time agreed with the contractor handling the project and commended the state governor, Alhaji Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed for patronizing indigenous civil engineers in the award of contracts in the state.
