Unilorin Admits 2,560 Candidates for Remedial Programme

The University of Ilorin School of Preliminary Studies (SPS), Fufu, has admitted 2,560 candidates for its 2015/2016 remedial programmes.

The Director of the school, Professor Muhammad M. Akanbi said over 6,000 students applied for admission into the school's science and arts courses, out of which 2,741 accepted the offer but 2,560 paid school fees.

Speaking at the 2016 orientation programme yesterday, Akanbi said, "Since its inception, the SPS has successfully presented several thousands of students for admission into the mainstream of the University. In the 2014/2015 academic session, over 2,000 gained admission into the University of Ilorin.
