Date: 2016-04-26

The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Sam Okaula has read riot act to hoodlums in the state, saying that they have no hiding place and were not welcomed.

Okaula, who spoke through a representative from office of Area Commander, Ilorin, said crime wave is on increase in Ilorin, vowing to arrest and prosecute anyone found culpable.

The Commissioner disclosed that the command had embarked on evacuating hoodlums off Ilorin streets, urging residents not to serve as cover up for men of the underworld.

Okaula who described them as "bastards of Ilorin," enjoin them to quit their criminal activities or risk jail.

"We have started getting the city rid of criminal activities. We started at Idi-Ape. But we discovered they moved down here (referring to Oloje, Alore, Oko-Olowo axis) and you have accepted them. You harbour criminals.

"You criminals, I will come after you. I don't fear anybody. I know I will die one day and someone must die of something. Many of you are bastards of Ilorin. We are ready for you. You cults, I will arrest you and you will go to jail. We also learnt you are threatening elders. You have no place to hide. We will surely get you," the commissioner said.
