Kwara Govt Dares Lawal, Reports Him to EFCC

The Kwara State government has dared former governor of the state, Alhaji Muhammad Lawal on his recent media comments which they described as unfortunate and told him to face the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission {EFCC} and the Independent and Corrupt Practises Commission {ICPC} to which the former governor has been reported for criminal investigation for abusing the oath of his office.

The government through the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Alhaji Lanre Daibu and his Information and Home Affairs counterpart in Ilorin on Sunday, revealed the report of the Justice Oluwayemisi Ajayi Judicial Commission of Inquiry which passed a guilt verdict on the former governor who has been recommended to refund various sums of money totaling N1.7bn being the diversion of public funds while in office.
