Afonja Warriors seal kit deal
Nigeria Premier League campaigners, Kwara United will unveil their new Chelfom jersey on May 29 in Ilorin, SuperSport.com can report.
The unveiling ceremony is expected to hold at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Ilorin Township Stadium from 1pm.
Chairman of the club, Alhaji Toyin Olokoba confirmed to SuperSport.com in Ilorin that the Afonja Warriors have entered into a multi-million naira shirt sponsorship with Chelfom, an engineering company based in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Olokoba added that the company, Chelfom will provide jerseys, socks, and track suits for United's remaining matches this term in the Premier League.
The deal is however expected to be terminated at the end of this season.
"I can confirm to you that we have signed a contract with a company in Ilorin till the end of the season, Chelfom will provide jerseys, socks, et al. The deal is impressive and I would be happy if they could partner with us again next season," Olokoba told SuperSport.com in Ilorin.
Olokoba, 50, enjoined his wards not to forget their mandate of picking a continental ticket at the end of this term.
"The governor, Alhaji Fattah Ahmed has begged us to give him a Caf Champions League ticket, and that was why he yesterday (Tuesday) released the sum of N186 million for the players' signing-on fees. We have to make him happy," he concluded.
Kwara United currently occupy 14th on the NPL standings on 34 points.
