Oloriegbe obtains Kwara Central PDP senatorial form
"In the past 11 years, our society has been in the grip of people who do not share our common heritage," Dr Oloriegbe, a World Health Organisation consultant, told party elders as he obtained his form over the weekend.
"Ilorin people need one of them. They deserve a leader who has deep understanding of their culture and value system which defines is as a people. Ilorin emirate deserves a leader who can combine vast international exposure with deep knowledge of our cherished self-identity as we collectively arrive for solutions to our numerous challenges."
In the statement of intent, read at the PDP Secretariat, Asa Dam Road, Ilorin, Oloriegbe said he decided to seek election to represent Kwara Central Senatorial District because the people of Ilorin needed one of them who could effectively represent their interest at the Senate.
Dr Oloriegbe, who was a former candidate for the Kwara Central Under the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria ACN in the 2011 elections, pledged to facilitate positive change in Ilorin by providing accessible consultative and facilitative leadership, socio-cultural reorientation for sustainable development, youth employment, empowerment for women and quality accessible education for all and health sector reforms.
