The minister of National Planning, Dr. Abubakar Suleiman has assured the people of Offa in Kwara State that the town will witness new developmental projects that will be captured in the 2015 budget.

He gave the assurance when he visited the Olofa of offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi in his palace on Tuesday.

The minister lamented the state of 'under- development' in the town, regretting that "Offa has in the last 15 not received any development."

Suleiman particularly recounted his experience while travelling on Offa-Ajase-Ipo road which he said took him about 40 minutes drive to the palace because of its deplorable condition.

He urged the "people of the town to key into the ruling PDP and the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan to be free from bondage, injustice unfair treatment and lopsided development saying "the PDP of today stands for justice,fairness and development."

He added, "we believe in our search for liberation for the people of kwara

state,we must start from Offa. Offa is assumed as the strong hold of opposition in Kwara South, they are not just in the opposition for nothing's sake,they are known to be progressives because they don't condone injustice, tyrants."

Responding the Oloffa,who said he was short of words because the minister had captured his feelings particularly on the deplorable condition of the Ajase-Ipo road offa road lamented" that we rest our case with God."

The monarch recalled that "successive administrations had made promises to fix the road with out redeeming it, at a time they said is a federal road,today we cannot even come out of our houses because of the bad portion of the road for us we have rest our case with God

"Our prayers is that God will choose a leader that will touch the lives of our people and Nigerians as whole that is our prayer."

The minister who paid similar visit to the Asiwaju of Offa,Chief Emmanuel Adesoye was latter received at a reception organised by the party at Offa Descendants Progressive Union (ODU) Hall where he also addressed a mammoth crowd of PDP supporters.
