Press Release: Kwara South Youth Did Not Beat Any Leader - Yemi Afolayan
The general economic situation in Nigeria notwithstanding, Kwara South youth are not doing badly .The level of poverty in the land is general one but our people in Kwara South believe in dignity of labour. The youth acknowledged that Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed has been doing excellently well in area of job creation. The meeting of Kwara South Elders referred to in the publication is a distorted one, calculated to disparage the Kwara South youth who were merely showing areas they want the government to do more.
Thus, the purported elders meeting were they claimed elders in attendance were manhandled is just a figment of the writers imagination and to set the record straight, nobody is on the hospital, neither does the picture of Hon. Kola Shittu has portrayed in the story bear any true semblance of Hon.Kola Shittu as the face was hidden. Nothing could be more malicious.
The Kwara South Elders led by Alh. Yusuf Ayedun met a cross section of Kwara South youth at the same venue in Ajase-ipo today, in attendance were Kwara South Senatorial chairman, Alh. Jimoh Balogun, party excos led by state secretary (APC) where Kwara South youth acknowledged the good leadership role of Senator Bukola Saraki and the good work of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, which gave a blatant lie to the online report.
Thus, the story of purported protest against the second term bid of Governor Abdlufatah Ahmed is a malicious one intended to put the governor, Kwara state and even the youth in bad light. It should be therefore discountenanced as it is a needless distraction at this crucial time when all Kwarans are impressed by governor Ahmed good works.
Prince Yemi Afolayan, Kwara State APC Secretary.
