Ebola: Kwara Bans Corpse Without Death Certificates
Alhaji Abdul-Kayode Issa gave this order in Ilorin on Thursday while addressing newsmen on the measures the state Government put in place to guide against the outbreak of the disease.
The Commissioner said the request for truly death Certificates for Corpses entering the state is to further guide against the outbreak since it is contagious.
He directed anybody or group of people bringing corpses to the state to register with the nearest Health Centres before going to their destinations.
Issa said the state Government has set up rapid response Committee on the disease to urgently attend to any victims noted in any part of the state.
The Commissioner added that the state Government has provided free ambulances in all the three senatorial districts of the state to cater for any unforeseen circumstances.
He said the state Government has commenced cross border collaboration at International borders in the state to check against the outbreak of the disease.
The Commissioner however assured the people of the state that there is no cases of the Ebola virus in all parts of the state.
Issa advised the residents in the state to complement Government effort by maintaining a decent environment, wash hands regularly and avoid taking bush meats among others. (NAN)
