Kwara First Lady condoles bereaved families

Wife of the Kwara State governor, Mrs Omolewa Ahmed, yesterday, paid a condolence visit to the family of late Professor Shehu Jimoh who died last week.

Expressing sympathy to the representatives of the deceaced family at their Akure Road residence, Adewole Area of Ilorin, the governor's wife urged them to take solace in the fact that their father was a respectable person whose influence affected the lives of people in positive ways.

She prayed for God's protection for every member of the family and for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased.

Responding on behalf of the family, Alhaji Mumuni Abdulmalik, thanked Mrs Ahmed for the gesture, saying, "we have been lifted by this visit."

He also appreciated the Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed, who had earlier visited the family and prayed God to guide and direct his administration to take Kwara to greater heights.

In a similar development, the governor's wife visited the vice chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Kwara State chapter, Hajia Asimau Apalando, on the death of her daughter.

Hajia Apalando appreciated Mrs Ahmed for her compassion and support to the people, particularly the women and children of Kwara State and asked for God's blessing on her.

Mrs Ahmed was accompanied by her Special Assistant on Special Duties, Hajia Aminat Kannike; wife of the SSG, Barrister Kikelomo Gold; wife of the Head of Service, (HOS), Hajia Aisha Dabarako and other, KWASOWA members.
