Date: 2014-05-07

No fewer than 100 Christian and muslim women on Wednesday in Ilorin, Kwara State, protested against the continued captivity of over 200 girls of Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State.

The girls were kidnapped by Boko Haram sect about three weeks ago.

Some of the protesting women  dressed in red and black  to signify mourning and sadness.

They matched from the secretariat of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Ilorin, to the Government House, the Emir’s Palace and to the St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Ilorin.

They carried placards with different incriptions which deplored the abduction of the girls and demanded that the Federal Government and security agencies should ensure that the victims were released soon and without any harm.
