Press Release - Re: Saraki has failed Kwarans

Date: 2014-03-18

There is no doubt that the speech writer for the so called President General of Orisun Igbomina, Mr. Gbenga Awoyale and his pay master are short-sighted intellectually and lacking in reasoning, thereby voyaging on a journey of desperation for recognition where they would not find one. It is unfortunate that both the payer and the payee have decided to shut their eyes and ears to see or their senses of reasoning had stop functioning.

In the first instance, we are not surprised that these idle hands has failed and or refused to come terms with reality that Kwara state has gone beyond their level of reasoning in terms of good governance, transparency, accountability and probity.

The focus in the policies and manifestos of All Progress Congress (APC) led government in Kwara State is good governance, job and wealth creation, welfare of the people, food on their table and money in their pocket coupled with programmes and policies that continue to have meaningful and direct impact on the lives of the masses.

Rather for the self acclaimed President General and one man operation by Gbenga Awoyale under Orisun Igbomina to see beyond his nose, the goodies in Kwara APC, he has misled himself to unwarranted propaganda

Mr. Gbenga Awoyale who claims to be speaking for Igbomina or members of Orisun Igbomina lacks the understanding of the press statements he had appended his signature.? Igbomina people are hardworking, intelligent, industrious, widely travelled, with great exposure and highly focused.?

It is not surprising therefore, for an illiterate like Gbenga Awoyale, with primary school certificate to dabble into political discourse beyond his intellectual capacity, if at all he possesses any. It is shameful that he allows himself to be used in this inglorious manner against the Government that has done a lot and still giving dividends of democracy to his own people in Arandun. Mr Awoyale claims APC Government in Kwara State has not embark on people oriented project. How will he react to the Road project from Oro to Arandun, his hometown, or the over 1 Billion Naira Road construction from Arandun, his community to Ipetu through Rore and Aran Orin which is currently going on. It is very obvious that Gbenga Awoyale did not understand the press statements written for him before appending his signature. What a shame. He would have engaged a yoruba interpreter on the content before subjecting himself into personal ridicule and integrity test even in the eyes of his kinsmen.

We ask Awoyale if he knows what SURE-P is all about? Let him tell his pay master wherever they may be that SURE-P is a Federal Government project and not initiative of Kwara state. It is a project that engages people in monthly stipend which is not regular. For Awoyale to ask such question is an attestation of his ignorant and he should keep quiet or ask his children next time. The entire Nigerians knows today that if the likes of our Leader, Dr. Bukola Saraki had not raised an alarm at the Federal level on the mismanagement and fraudulent practices under fuel subsidy, there would be nothing like SURE-P in Nigeria. Unfortunately, a scheme that supposed to benefit the masses of Nigeria is now being politicised and turned into PDP birth right.

The President General also asked what the State Government is doing about MDGS.

Needless to remind Awoyale that this is also a Federal Government project and he should take his time to visit the Presidency and or visit the office of the Special Adviser to the President on while MDG projects has failed in Nigeria. We are not surprised at all because Awoyale has further exhibited his level of total ignorance having found himself in an uncertain political terrain where people talk before reasoning.

Ordinarily Awoyale's statements should not attract any comment because it is coming from a man who has become an hungry man.? His major grouse is because he lobbied for the post of a Special Assistant to the Governor but instead, Barrister Tejumola Oguntoye from Arandun, Awoyale's home town, was picked. He is a man of sound intellect and Awoyale knows he can not stand Oguntoye's qualifications in all ramification, hence, he became a traitor.

As it is always said, any river that forgets it's source shall surely dry up. Awoyale should realise that APC as a party or its officials has no time to engage a completely drown man in a discourse of governance since he lacks the capacity to understand same and his sense of reasoning is shallow.

Alhaji Buhari Sulyman
Interim Publicity Secretary
Kwara State APC.
