2015 Election: Kwara NOA to collaborate with INEC on electoral process
Ahead of the 2015 general elections in the country, the Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Kwara State Directorate, Mr Felix Olowokere, has said his agency would collaborate with state Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Olowokere, who made the pledge during a courtesy visit to the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Chief Timothy Ibitoye, at the INEC office in Ilorin, said this was in line with the agency's mandate of accurately informing, sensitizing and enlightening the citizenry.
According to him, the agency's interface with the people at the grassroots will assist INEC at keeping the electorate informed and enlightened. He said the advantage of NOA should be utilized by INEC to prevent and reduce voters apathy in the
state.
Olowokere, who informed the electoral commissioner that the agency intends to organize a media chat for political aspirants in the state, added that massive enlightenment campaigns will be carried out on voters' education.
Royal Times correspondent reports that the Resident Electoral Commissioner in his response acknowledged the pivotal roles NOA played in previous voters registration exercise and in the monitoring of elections in the state.
