The Kwara State Government donated N1.5m while Osun and Oyo states governments donated N1m each, to the family of the late football legend, Rashidi Yekini during his burial.

Kwara State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Tunji Moronfoye, Oyo State Commissioner for Sports, Dapo Adesina and his Osun State counterpart, Stephen Kola-Balogun, during the fidau prayer of Yekini in Ira, Oyun LGA of Kwara state on Saturday, extolled the virtues of the football legend.

The burial was witnessed by large crowd of football enthusists, sports lovers, and sports administrators. Also in attendance were players of 3sc and Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC players.

Some of the dignitaries include Taiwo Ogunjobi, Ike Sorunmu, Ademola Adesina, among others.

The burial was covered by sky sports channel and local media.
