Winner of Kwara Quran Competition Emerges

Murtala Yahaya Sufyan from Asa Local Government of Kwara State yesterday emerged as the best Qur'an memorizer at the state final of the national Qur'an recitation competition. He won in the highest category featuring memorization of complete Holy Qur'an, with Tafseer and Tajwid.

Altogether, 10 competitors that would represent Kwara State in the national competition in Dutse, Jigawa State, were selected, according to a statement by a member of the com-mittee, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi.

In his speech at the occasion, Governor Abdulfattah Ahmed commended the state organising committee for living up to the expectation of government and the people.
