Engineer Adebayo affirms support for Kwara Police Command

Date: 2013-12-11

The Police has been described as "friend of the masses" by upholding and maintaining social law and order, hence their importance cannot be disregarded by any peace-loving individual or entity.

The commendation was given on Tuesday, in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, by the President and Founder of African Broadband Limited, owners of Royalfm 95.1 Ilorin and publishers of RoyalTimes online newspaper, Engineer Gbenga Adebayo, when he led management of the organisation on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Kwara state Command, Mr. Agboola Oshodi-Glover.

Adebayo commended Mr. Oshodi-Glover and his team for drastically stemming the wave of crimes in the state since his assumption of Office, saying socio-economic engagements can only thrive in an atmosphere of tranquillity

He also promised his organisation's continuous supports to the security agency by enlightening the general public on the activities of the Command from time to time.

Earlier, the Kwara state police boss had appreciated residents in the state for being law-abiding and a peace-loving society with God-fearing people.

He stated that media practitioners and the police are partners in progress, hence the need for mutual cooperation between media houses and security agencies. He added that this will ultimately lead to effective Community policing and further reduction in crime rate.

Highlights of the courtesy visit include exchange of memorabilia between the two organisations and a photograph session.
