APC not marketable in the North - PDP Chieftain
All Progressive Congress, APC, was yesterday described as a seasonal party that cannot stand the test of time and not marketable to Nigerians most especially in the north.
A chieftain and founding member of the Kwara state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Oloye Olateju Titiloye, stated this yesterday in an interview with journalists in Ilorin, the state capital.
According to him, "permit me to correct the impression of the public about the people parading themselves as new PDP. I only see them as relegates because the court as ruled that there is nothing like nPDP. So why mislead the public?
"How can APC merge with a non-existing political party? is it not sounding crude? As for us in the PDP, we are sure and certain of the personalities that are with us because, it is not all about party now, but the people therein."
Oloye Titiloye added that with the firm and strong stands of the PDP members in the struggle for the liberation of Kwarans, "the potentials in our people will soon be discovered as poverty and joblessness will become things of the past.
"Despite the fact that people like General Muhammadu Buhari is in APC, I don’t see the party been marketable in the north come 2015 because of the ideology with which it was formed."
Speaking on the speculation that APC chieftain, Mohammed Dele Belgore, (SAN), may likely decamp to PDP, the party stalwart said: "He is welcome if he so desires to join us in the struggle for the liberation of Kwara state.
"Not only him, anybody with the passion of seeing Kwarans free from political dictators s highly welcome because PDP is a very big family with national spread."
