Reinstated 128 COED staff thank Gov Ahmed, others
The 128 sacked staff of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin have commended the state governor, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed for his swift intervention into their plight.
The concerned workers in a statement jointly signed by Jimoh Atolagbe Issah, Kareem Kudirat and Lawal R. Babatunde and made available to The Herald, said their recall to work, subject on the governor's approval, was an indication that the present administration in the state is responsive to the plight of the people.
They described Governor Ahmed's instant action to their predicament as an example of good leadership style, a leader that cares about the welfare of his followers.
The statement also gave kudos to the governor communicating in written form, to the Governing Council of the College, to suspend the retrenchment and thereafter issue all the concerned workers official letters to recall them back to work adding that all their letters have been prepared by the authority of the school.
The staff therefore thanked the PDP leader in the state, Senator Bukola Saraki; the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Isiaka Gold; the Chief of Staff, Government House, Alhaji Mohammed Toyin Sanusi; the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari; management of the COED Ilorin and concerned citizens for their roles towards their reinstatement.
They explained that the affected workers and their families would continue to be grateful to the governor for his quick intervention into their matter.
They therefore pledged their continued dedication and diligence to work so as to justify the confidence reposed in them by the governor and others.
The affected workers pledged their unflinching support towards the success of Governor AbdulFatah led administration in the state.
