The Secretary to Kwara State Government (SSG), Alhaji Sola Gold has asked for continued collaboration with security agencies in order to further reduce crime rate in the state. Gold spoke in Ilorin when he received the new Controller of Prisons Services in the state, Mr. Olanrele Bolanle. According to him, the state is noted for peace and stability, hence the need for security agencies to always be on the alert to sustain the peace. Gold urged security agencies to check criminals from infiltrating the state, and also called on the citizens to provide relevant information to stem rate of crime. While noting that prison inmates were also part of the society, he advised prison authorities to always treat the inmates well to enable them integrate into the society without difficulty after regaining freedom. Responding, Bolanle stated that his visit was to familiarize himself with the state, noting that his command had continued to enjoy support from the state government.
