First Bank pensioners elect officials, to strike improved welfare package with bank.

An association of First Bank pensioners has elected a new set of officials and promised to strike improved welfare package with the bank for their members.

The new President of the pensioners association, Alhaji Mohammed Bungudu said in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital shortly after being elected at the 6th triennial conference of the association, that he would liaise with the bank management with a view to meeting association’s demands.

Alhaji Bungudu pledged that commitment, dedication, hard work, honesty and transparency would be his watchword in the discharge of his duties.

At the conference attended by delegates from all parts of the country, the new president applauded members of the association for the opportunity given him and his new team to serve them, saying they will not betray the confidence reposed in them, while also seeking their support and cooperation to ensure a successful tenure.

Alhaji Bungudu, from Kaduna, commended the out gone executives for their efforts in improving members' welfare even as he praised the electoral committee under the chairmanship of Mr. R. A. Hassan for conducting a free, fair, peaceful and acceptable election.

He also said that the new national executive has a lot of issue to settle with the Bank's management, assuring them that there would be improvement in members' welfare when the issues were fully accomplished.

In a remark, the out gone president, Prince Debo Olaiya, lauded members for the support and cooperation accorded his executive and implored them to extend a similar gesture to the new executive.

Other elected members include Chief FO Okoye, deputy national president, Comrade TO Areola, general secretary, Mr. eK Tawuyah and Mallam Ahmed Lawan as assistant general secretaries.

Others are Mr. JA Abiodun Banjo, the treasurer, Hajia Hadija Babangida as financial secretary, Mr. Richard Onwuke as the auditor, while Mr. KA Lawal as the PRO/social secretary.
