NSCDC recovers corpse of woman allegedly killed by suspected ritualists in Kwara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kwara State has recovered the corpse of a woman who was allegedly killed by suspected ritualists in the Kanikoko area of Kaiama in Kwara North Senatorial District.

The Command's Public Relations Officer, Babawale Zaid, who confirmed this on Friday in Ilorin, gave the name of the deceased as Hassana Mohammed.

Zaid said the body of the women was recovered without her vagina and breast parts.

He said: “On June 10 at about 12:30hrs, one Hassana Mohammed of Yarugaba compound, Kaiama, was murdered and her dead body dumped along Kanikoko road, Kaiama, by some suspected ritualists.

“The NSCDC office was alerted when the deceased was not found at home and was not picking calls made to her phone. Following the alert, security agencies and the vigilantes, on a search of the woman, found her body along Kanikoko road, Kaiama

“ Upon medical examination, it was discovered that her vagina and breasts were removed by the suspected ritualists.

“ She was buried on Friday morning after the necessary examination, while an investigation is ongoing to unravel the perpetrators.”
