Date: 2013-09-04

Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed has commiserated with Adamawa State government and the families of nine Peoples Democratic Party members who lost their lives in an automobile accident along Abuja-Jos highway on Sunday.

Governor Ahmed in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba described the death of the PDP faithful  as painful and unfortunate, especially as the PDP strives to entrench sustainable internal democracy built on consensus, equity and justice.

According to Governor Ahmed, "the nine will be remembered and celebrated as harbingers of peace, justice and fair play in our nation's democratic ethos".

Ahmed who advised the family of the deceased to take solace in God as the giver and taker of life, prayed God to grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the painful loss.
