Pillars can't scare ABS - Dogo

Date: 2013-08-13

ABS coach, Kabir Sulaiman Dogo has said Kano Pillars' intimidating profile will not scare his wards from acquitting themselves handsomely.

Pillars will host the llorin-based side on Matchday 25 in the Glo Premier League on Wednesday at the Sanni Abacha Stadium, Kofarmata , Kano.

The Pyramid City side won the first fixture 3-2 at the Kwara State Stadium in llorin.

Dogo said his wards are in perfect mood insisting that the three points at stake will not elude his side.

"We're not under pressure playing Kano Pillars, we lost the first fixture 2-3 in llorin and I'm confident with good officiating Pillars are beatable in Kano.

"What I'm fervently praying for is balance officiating, once that is taken care of the confidence level among the players will be very high and we're capable of grabbing the three points off Pillars.

"Pillars have everything working for them at the moment, they're clear favourites in this match, domestic champions, league leaders, among others but we won't be frightened or intimidated in giving out our very best.

"The home win against Lobi Stars has further boosted the players' confidence going into the game against Pillars. Our fortune on the league log is gradually improved of late we won't want to do anything that will work against the progress already recorded," he said to supersport.com.

ABS edged Lobi 2-1 in the Glo Premier League Matchday 24 duel in llorin to take their total points to 32 from a possible 72 and 12th on the log.
