Shooting Stars to play without spectators
For failure to control their supporters, Globacom Premier League club, Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan has been handed a three-match ban to play their home games in an empty stadium.
This punishment was handed down to the Ibadan darling team by the management of the League Management Company (LMC) headed by Honourable Nduka Irabor.
3SC was punished due to their fans' unruly behaviour after a Week 20 match involving the club and Kwara of United of Ilorin.
According to the disciplinary action taken against the Ibadan soccer lords, their teeming fans will be denied the opportunity of watching their darling team's next three home matches beginning with the week 22 match against Dolphins of Port Harcourt.
The decision was taken after the league body considered the reports of the encounter in which angry 3SC fans showed their displeasure over what they termed a bias handling of the encounter against the Afonja Warriors in the rain soaked match that ended 1-1.
In addition to that, the mercurial midfielder, Philip Asuquo was also handed a three match ban.
