The Governor of Kwara State, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed, has called on the Nigerian Police, Kwara State Command, to carry out thorough investigation of the alleged attempt by some gun totting individuals to attack a former Chairman of Offa Local Government Area of the state, Prince Saheed Popoola, with a view to bringing the culprits to book, just as he cautioned politicians from undue political provocation and sensationalising security issues.

Gov Ahmed, who said this in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, warned that his administration frowns against any act that could threaten the life of any individual or group in the state.

He condemned attempt by any individual to attack anybody either with the aim of causing bodily harm or possible death as the sanctity of life should be upheld at all times.

The governor warned that his administration would not condone any act that could threaten the peace of any community and the state in general.
