Robbers Snatch Ex-Moro LG Boss' Car

Date: 2013-04-19

A five- man gang of armed robbers on Wednesday in Ilorin snatched the car of a former Chairman of Moro Local Government Council in Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulraheem Adisa.

The metallic gold colored Honda Accord car, with registration number GG 69 ABC and Chasis No. IHGCP26808A137898, was snatched after the armed men brushed Adisa’s car with their own at the front of Staff Development College, behind Shoprite mall at about 1.30pm.

Narrating the incident, the driver of the former chairman, Ishiaka Zubair, said the armed men pretended they were going to repair the Honda Accord after apologizing for brushing it with their own car.

Two of the armed men then joined the former chairman’s car under the pretext of leading the driver to a mechanic’s workshop but drew guns on him after some distance.

Zubair said the bandits blindfolded and tied his hand with his own cloth after which they dumped him around Judges’ quarters.

The theft was immediately reported to the police.
