The Kwara State Hospitals Management Board (KW-HMB) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving healthcare delivery across state-owned hospitals following a monitoring and supervision visit to General Hospital, Erin-Ile, in Oyun Local Government Area.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr Abdulraheem Malik, led the management team on the inspection to assess the hospital's operations, engage with healthcare workers, evaluate service delivery and identify areas requiring administrative and infrastructural improvements.

During the visit, the team inspected staff attendance and productivity, patient care, cleanliness and environmental sanitation, the availability of essential services, the functionality of medical equipment, power supply and the overall condition of the facility.

The management also encouraged greater teamwork and collaboration among healthcare workers to address existing staffing gaps and ensure uninterrupted delivery of essential health services.

Staff were urged to strengthen coordination across departments and make effective use of available human resources while the Board continues efforts to improve workforce capacity.

Dr Malik commended the hospital staff for their dedication and urged them to remain professional, compassionate and committed to delivering quality healthcare services to residents of Erin-Ile and neighbouring communities.

He noted that General Hospital, Erin-Ile, is among the health facilities benefiting from the Kwara State Government's ongoing investment in healthcare infrastructure and service delivery.

The Executive Secretary reaffirmed the commitment of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's administration to strengthening state-owned hospitals and ensuring that quality, accessible healthcare services are available to all residents of the state.

He added that the Hospitals Management Board would continue regular monitoring and supervision of its facilities to promote accountability, operational efficiency, improved working conditions, teamwork and a better patient experience across Kwara State.
