Prof Wale Sulaiman, Speaker Danladi, Senator Oloriegbe and Others Endorse Seriki for Kwara Governorship
Eight governorship aspirants in Kwara State have formally declared their support for Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki (MFR) as the All Progressives Congress prepares to conduct its governorship primary election tomorrow.
In a significant show of solidarity, Ambassador Seriki convened strategic engagements with fellow aspirants and key party stakeholders across the state earlier this evening. Following deliberate and wide-ranging consultations, the gathering reached a unanimous resolution to rally behind his candidature, a decision rooted in the higher imperatives of party unity and the sustained advancement of the progressive vision being championed by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The aspirants affirmed that their collective decision was guided by the compelling need to consolidate the landmark achievements of the current administration, and to coalesce around a candidate broadly regarded as deeply aligned with the developmental aspirations of Kwara people and the strategic direction of the party's leadership.
Those who formally pledged their support for Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki include Dr. Salako Muyideen Oluwatoyin, Captain Ahmad Mahmoud, Professor Wale Sulaiman, Dr. Mohammed Omar Bio, Dr. Toyin Alabi, Hajia Aisha Ahman Patigi, Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, and the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi.
The evening's engagements concluded on a note of renewed resolve, a shared commitment to party cohesion, issue-based political engagement, and a peaceful primary process that would further consolidate the APC's strength and credibility in Kwara State.
It is further understood that additional aspirants are expected to step down in the hours preceding the primary, as momentum behind Ambassador Seriki's candidature continues to build.
