Kwara 2027: Belgore Dismisses Viral Claim of Visiting Tinubu and Endorsing a Candidate
Muhammad Dele Belgore, SAN, has denied claims circulating on social media that he visited Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos to support a governorship aspirant from Kwara South.
The denial followed a viral message shared on WhatsApp and other platforms alleging that Belgore and some politicians met with the President to back a candidate ahead of the 2027 governorship race.
In a statement issued on his behalf by Aliyu Olatunji Ajanaku, the claim was described as false and misleading.
The statement clarified that no such visit took place, stressing that the image being circulated alongside the claim was an old photograph taken during the COVID-19 period when some party members visited the President.
According to the statement, Belgore was not part of that visit.
It urged members of the public, particularly those within the All Progressives Congress (APC), to disregard the report, describing it as a mischievous attempt to misinform.
The statement further called on party members to remain focused on working towards electoral success for the APC in future political contests.
