Kwara Signs On To Hygeia Health Care

The indigenes of Kwara state have now gained access to affordable quality health care services as a result of a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding signed between Hygeia Community Health Care and the state government.

At a press briefing in Lagos, the management of Hygeia Group highlighted the benefits of the scheme which was created in 2006 to promote access to healthcare for low income groups who earn less than $2  per day among the Nigerian population.

While shedding  light on some of the benefits and achievements of the scheme, the Chief Executive Officer of Hygeia group, Mr. Lars Stock, disclosed that the Hygeia group not only operates a community health platform, but is also involved in a health insurance scheme.

The scheme also works with the corporate sector through the Hygeia Health Maintenance Organisation Limited.

He also disclosed that the group owns the Lagoon hospitals.
