The All Progressives Congress (APC) has nominated Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, to chair the 173-member National Campaign Council for the Federal held on 21 February 2026 Federal Capital Territory area council elections.

Governors Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, and Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State were appointed as co-chairmen of the council.

The council also includes Governors Uba Sani (Kaduna), Peter Mbah (Enugu), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Monday Okpebholo (Edo), Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (Ekiti), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), and Umo Eno (Akwa Ibom), among others.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas are also members of the council.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the party announced that the APC National Campaign Council for the Federal Capital Territory area council elections will be inaugurated on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, at the APC National Working Committee Hall, National Secretariat, Abuja.

Following inauguration, the council will coordinate the campaigns of APC chairmanship and councillorship candidates across the six area councils of the Federal Capital Territory to secure victory in the elections.
