The Ojora family of Lagos has announced the passing of its patriarch, Otunba Adekunle Ojora, a legendary figure in Nigeria's corporate and traditional circles. He died early Wednesday morning, January 28, 2026, at the age of 93.

In a statement released on behalf of the family, his daughter, Her Excellency Toyin Ojora-Saraki wife of former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki confirmed that the elder statesman will be buried in Lagos in accordance with Islamic rites.

"With total submission to the will of Almighty Allah (SWT), the Ojora family hereby announces the passing of our beloved patriarch, Otunba Adekunle Ojora, the Otunba of Lagos and Lisa of Ife," the statement read. "We say Alhamdulilahi for a life well lived. He was 93 and is survived by his lovely wife, Erelu Ojolape Ojora, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren."

Born into one of the most prominent families in Lagos, Otunba Ojora was a towering figure in post-independence Nigeria. His distinguished career spanned across:
