Remo Stars Slump Continues as Kwara United Triumphs 3-1
The lingering effects of their continental campaign failure appear to still be affecting NPFL defending champions, Remo Stars, as the Ikenne side suffered a 3-1 loss against host Kwara United in Ilorin on Saturday.
The NPFL Match Day 11 encounter saw Junior Aimufua score a brace for Kwara United, with Babatunde Bright adding the third goal to cement the victory for the Harmony Boys. Remo Stars managed a consolation goal in stoppage time through Jabbar Malik.
The convincing win moves Kwara United to fifth position on the league log with 16 points from 11 games.

Elsewhere, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Bendel Insurance were held to a 1-1 draw by neighbors Warri Wolves. Alex Oweilayefa gave Insurance the lead after just nine minutes, but Othuke Egbo restored parity for the visitors four minutes before the break.
